Petal Walks
We are delighted to tell you we have completed our Petal Walks! There are 9 walks- one from each of our churches. Each of our historic rural churches has its own fascinating story to tell. They are circular walks - 3 to 5 miles long and suitable for families. We always indicate a good picnic spot!
Dogs will also enjoy these walks but please remember to keep them on a lead. The birds on the Moors have adapted to the absence of trees by nesting on the ground and dogs can easily disturb Meadow Pipits, Lapwings, Golden Plover, Curlew, Snipe, Woodcock and grouse.
Look down as well as at the views- the petal walks are often thick with wild flowers!
If your children like collecting- Pilgrim Passports are available in all the churches on the walks for £1 and they can collect all 10 church stamps by doing all the petal walks!
