About the event

Glorious Twelfth Guided Pilgrimage

Wednesday 12 August 2026

Join a small group (12 pilgrims only) for a day of walking, reflection and shared journey through the spectacular late summer landscape of the North York Moors.

On the Glorious Twelfth, when the heather is at its glorious best, we'll journey through some of the most beautiful scenery in the National Park, following part of the Saint Aelred's Pilgrim Trail. Along the way we'll visit ancient churches, enjoy generous Yorkshire hospitality, and discover the richness of pilgrimage in this remarkable landscape.

Beginning and ending at Old Byland, this guided pilgrimage offers space to slow down, notice, and reconnect with God, with one another, and with the story of faith rooted in this place.
