Beginners’ 6 Mile Pilgrimage

Join a small group (12 pilgrims only) for a gentle introduction to pilgrimage, with walking, reflection and shared journey through the beautiful autumn landscape of the North York Moors. Includes transport, refreshments and guided reflections.
Walking Stage 1 of the Saint Aelred’s Pilgrim Trail in reverse, from East Moors to Helmsley, this shorter pilgrimage offers space to slow down, notice and experience pilgrimage without committing to a full day or a longer distance.
This pilgrimage is open to anyone seeking space to walk, reflect and journey together, whether you come with a strong faith, a questioning heart, or no faith at all.
